Rural to urban migration is one among the many types of migration. Women do not migrate from rural to urban areas due to following reasons: difficulty to find house at reasonable rent, high cost of living, lack of jobs due to high competition, lack of security for women.

The movement by people from one place to another with the intention of settling, permanently in the new location is called migration. Some of the problems associated with it includes brain drain that is utilising ones knowledge for the development of the country other than his own. There are chances of forced labour and people may be made to work under poor working conditions.

Rural to urban migration is one among the many types of migration. The main reason behind this type of migration is better employment opportunities in urban areas compared to rural areas, availability of regular work, good educational facilities and sources of entertainment.

Seasonal migration is a type of human movement which occurs in particular seasons. This is mainly because of seasonality of employment which is type of employment in which work is not provided continuously but provided only for certain period, example work available during harvest time.

Most of the people get migrated for food, shelter and employment, in present scenario. Usually during sugar cane season, caravan of people settle near sugar factories as they get employment and stay in their huts made of dry sugarcane and its leaves. The women and children tie the bundles of sugarcane. Then the bundles are taken to the sugar factory.

Education boards like CBSE are based on this policy.
