Industrial pollution is the contamination of the environment by businesses, particularly plants and factories, that dump waste products into the air and water. Industrial waste is one of the largest contributors to the global pollution problem endangering people and the environment.

Acid rain is the rainfall made so acidic by atmospheric pollution that it causes environmental harm, chiefly to forests and lakes. The main cause is the industrial burning of coal and other fossil fuels, the waste gases from which contain sulphur and nitrogen oxides which combine with atmospheric water to form acids.

Those waste materials which can be broken down to non-poisonous substances in nature in due course of time by the action of micro-organisms like certain bacteria, are called biodegradable waste. 
Cattle dung and compost are common examples of biodegradable waste. Other examples are animal bones, leather, tea leaves, wool, paper and wheat.

Taj Mahal is situated in Agra. The air in this place contains serious levels of sulphur and nitrogen oxides. This is due to the large number of power plants and industries set up around this area. All these led to acid rain. Acid rain reacted with the marble (calcium carbonate) of Taj Mahal. This caused damage to this wonderful structure, which had attracted many people from different parts of the world.

Mining, deforestation, and utilization of water resources for industrial production have destroyed natural habitats and forced organisms to move further into the wild, exposing them to predators and intolerable living conditions. Consequently, some wildlife species have faced extinction while several others remain highly endangered.

Particulates pollutants are the minute solid particles or liquid droplets in air. These are present in vehicle emissions, smoke particles from fires, dust particles and ash from industries.

Due to industrialization which is a human activity $9.3$% of the forest is lost. In order to build new industries, flats, houses; trees are cut, thousands in numbers due to which there is a loss of forest.

Impure water contains lots of germs or bacteria. Waterborne diseases are caused by drinking contaminated or dirty water. Contaminated water can cause many types of diarrhea diseases, including cholera, and other serious illness such as gulnea worm diseases, typhoid, and dysentery.

Acid rain refers to a mixture of deposited material, both wet and dry, coming from the atmosphere containing more than normal amounts of nitric and sulfuric acids. Simply put, it means rain that is acidic in nature due to the presence of certain pollutants in the air due to cars and industrial processes. 

Sewage in wastewater is released by homes, factories, industries, hospitals, offices, and other uses. These mainly occur in developing countries where people don't have access to sanitary conditions and clean water. Untreated sewage can contaminate the environment and cause disease such as diarrhoea.
