The binomial nomenclature of the Touch-me-not plant is Mimosa pudica. This plant is known as touch me not plant because the plant shows a type of nastic movement. Whenever the plant is touched, the leaflets get folded. The stimulus is passed from one branch to the entire branch of the plants. The leaves of the complete plant get folded in response to the touch.
