The resources which are available in nature in an unlimited amount are known as inexhaustible resources. These resources can be replenished again and again for use. The resources which can be renewed and are safe to use are known as non-conventional sources of energy. Solar radiations, wind power and sea tides are used for the generation of the electricity. These are inexhaustive and non-conventional resources. 

The resources which cannot be replenished again after consumption of resources are known as non-renewable resources. Coal is obtained from the Earth's crust due to the decomposition of the dead matter for long period of time. It is commonly used as the source of energy. There are limited deposits of coal present and they take a long time to be formed. so, they are known as non-renewable form of energy.

The forest biomass is considered as a great source of energy in the form of wood, charcoal, etc. The forests serve as the renewable energy source. The exploitation of the metal has resulted in fewer resources left and so, the metal resource will be exhausted first.
