Large scale industry has large investment of capital. The number of labourers working in such industries are very high. Such industry requires high level technology and skilled labour. Examples of such industry include cement, iron and steel industry, automobile industry etc. among the given options earthen pot is not the example of large scale industry.

Cement industry is not a small scale industry.

Cottage industries is the industries that are operated in houses with the help of family members.

Industries are broadly classification into three types (i.e. On the basis of Raw Materials, On the basis of Size and On the basis of Ownership).

 Cement is indispensible for building and construction work and cement industry is considered to be an important infrastructure core industry. The first attempt to manufacture cement in India was made in 1904 when a mill based on sea shells as a source of limestone was established at Chennai. But this attempt proved unsucessful and a really successful attempt was made in 1912-13 when the Indian Cement Co. Ltd. set up a plant at Porbandar in Gujarat.

Sugar mill is an agricultural based industry and a large scale industry. The first sugar mill in Rajasthan was established at Chittorgarh district in the year 1932. It was a private sector based industry. This industry is at present closed.

In December 1916, First unit at Lakheri in Rajasthan was started. 

Lakheri is a city and a municipality in Bundi district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located in southeast northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located Around 180 kilometres south of the state capital, Jaipur. This is the second largest city after Bundi in the district. Mostly surrounded by agricultural lands & villages the most distinct feature of lakheri is a cement manufacturing unit of ACC [Associated Cement Companies] Ltd. This plant is the oldest running cement plant in Asia (1912-1913). But with the passage of time the plant has undergone expansions to incorporate the latest technology in cement producing. The latest expansion project being completed in April 2007.

The raw material for manufacturing cement are lime, gypsum and coal. This raw material is easily available in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan. Hence it is an ideal place for flourishing cement industry.
